I need something to do!
This sucks money b&lls! I'm really trying to keep sane here at work, but I'm just annoyed that I have nothing to do tonight! Maybe I should just curl up in bed & watch tv while eating some cookies & cream ice cream?!? Now that sounds yummy... however, it also sounds depressing! My life needs to have some umph added to it and SOON!
Stay tuned...

To go...or not to go..... THAT is the Question!
I've been holding off on seeing Tyler Perry's new movie. I've heard some good things..and I've also heard some not-so good things about it! I can honestly say that I've never really been a fan of Tyler Perry! As much as I lvoe to support my black people... that does not mean I have to spend every bit of money on the garbage that they decide to put out.
Ok...garbage might be a strong word when describing his movies, however, I feel that his movies are blah! Yes.. blah! They're filled with a bunch of "over-actors." The movie tends to have way too much going on...and at the end...all the problems are solved! I just find that to be a little unrealistic.
Don't preach to me it's a movie! When I leave a movie theater, I want to feel as though I didn't waste my money (or someone else's).
I guess I still have a couple more months to think about it... but trust me, I'm in no rush! I still haven't seen Sex in the City! I know!!! But that's a whole different blog within itself!
Laters!

STFU Lou Dobbs
I’m going to keep it real with you. At one point, I was behind Lou Dobbs! I made sure at 7:00 pm EST my eyes were on CNN for Lou Dobbs show. At that time, my main concern was…immigration. Yes, I am an immigrant; however, I am against illegal immigration (as is most LEGAL immigrants)! I made sure I watched his show because he was the only one speaking about this issue. Then… it got out of hand. He kept on talking about... Night after night after night! I got tired of the bitter look on his face when he spoke very harshly about Mexican immigrants. He made it seem as if they were the worst thing to happen to America.
Then I decided to silently boycott his show.
Lou, there are way more serious things going on in this country. If you really think illegal immigration is really that big of an issue, why don’t you go down to the border and build a wall? You know what… while you’re at it…why not build a wall around the whole USA. Make sure you hit every coast!
What many people fail to realize is that this country was build by immigrants!
Lou, you are a bitter old man. You seem to disagree with damn near everything that happens in politics! You need to smoke a fat one and chill!
& on that note... I’m out!
The New Facebook Layout
I’m about tired of seeing all these petition groups against the new facebook layout. Plain and simple… You don’t pay for the shit (yes I cursed), so shut up already! I don’t care if you’re my good friend…you really need to hear the truth!N*ggas always want to complain about shit! It’s FREE! If you don’t contribute to facebook (behind the scenes) don’t get upset when things change! I can bet you my first born that if we had to pay for facebook, ¾ of the current users would not be on! No one likes to pay for things online (see my last post). I know for damn sure I wouldn’t be paying. Facebook is not that serious to me.
So folks, please… just get over it! Enough with the petition groups! Let’s petition something worthwhile like… I don’t know… Sweatshops! Animal testing for cosmetics!

Desperate times...

I think I might be getting desperate folks!
Well not really, but honestly... I really do believe I am. So a few weeks ago, I saw an ad on TV about eHarmony. The ad basically promoted their free communication weekend. One of the reasons I didn't join eHarmony before was because of the cost. I just couldn't fathom spending $100+ to subscribe to their site. I honestly don't care if it was for 6 months or 6 years. The internet is free darnit!
Of course...being the person that I am... I decided to join. I believe I joined that Friday evening. So I created my profile (which took about half hour), then I started hoping for the best! I honestly believe I may have lied about my personality! I started questioning myself. lol. Like, do I really care how much a guy makes? Does it really matter if he has kids? I thought I had all this figured out until I created my profile. I started answer No to a lot of those questions. It's like... I just wanted them to match me up with someone. Anywho...So I get to the site after all of that.
Right off the back, I realized what was wrong. They didn't show pictures! WTH! So I'm suppose to assume that the guy that I'm talking to is attractive! Booo eHarmony! So I started the whole "Start Communication" with a few people that appeared to be attractive. Meaning, they fit the height requirement. LOL. The whole catch to this free communication weekend thing is, the person needs to communicate with you or else... what's the point. So by the end of the free communication weekend, I think I got to the final stage with ONE person. (Not that final stage).
Long story short... I don't believe in this eHarmony crap!
I'm just going to stick to doing it the ole fashion way. Or maybe I should go to the library or something. *SHRUGS*
Oh well... The life I live I tell ya!
Am I wrong?
So I'm hanging with a friend the other night. Quick history - we once dated, however, we've decided to remain friends. I'm a little thirsty, so I ask for something to drink. He proceeded to grab the cup he had on his bookshelf. I think nothing of it.
He returns with a glass of cranberry juice. For those that may not know, I'm very picky when it comes to my food/drinks/etc. I always check the glass to see if it's clean. Even in my house, I rinse the glass with hot water before I use it. I think that's pretty normal..right? But anywho...
So I get the glass and notice that there was still a lip mark on it. So I ask, did you wash the glass? He said NO! That right there is just NASTY! I'm sorry...
Yes, at one time we did kiss, however, that still does not mean you have to bring a dirty glass to me. Like...wth! If I can see your lip imprint on there makes it even worse! UGH!
So am I wrong for not drinking the juice?

Random Weekend in DC
So when I'm bored... this is what I do! I play around my computer. Please lord find me some new friends.. lol.So this weekend I decided that I didn't want to stay in. I went to salon, got my hair deep conditioned...then I went to get my nails done... I got there, and it was closed due to renovations! Go freaking figure! I knew it was a hole in the wall..but I didn't think they did too. lol
Anywho, I decided to take a quick nap... then go to the nail salon in Pentagon City. I knew they were going to be a bit pricey, but I figure...what the heck... It's all about me. So after the nap, got dressed for the night and went on my way to Pentagon City.
I got my nails done (and it looks pretty nice by the way) and my eyebrows waxed. I love being a woman! :) Then I started my journey to DC. I stopped at my favorite restaurant, Alero. Ok...it was obvious that I came on the wrong night. No men! Well no men worth looking at. So I decided to get a couple of drinks then head to Jin. Jin was not bad, however, I felt weird being there alone. I kept looking at my phone hoping someone would text me so I can look like I might be waiting for someone. Again...no MAJOR eye candy... so after a couple of G-Spots (that's my fav. drink there), I decided to go home! So I'm walking down U St. I'm thinking why the hell didn't I use the bathroom before i left. Those drinks were coming right through me.
I sat down to think of a good spot to use the rest room without having to wait in line. All of sudden, a white guy said hi to me. I say Hi and think nothing of it. After I sent my text to my friend, he asked... "Can I ask you for a huge favor" (he had a French accent.. so I'm like... hmmmm... lol). So I gave him that "look!" He proceeded to ask me to accompany him into this swingers club because they don't allow men in by themselves. It was one of those things that caught me off guard because I'm thinking to myself... if I was a lil meaner, I would've probably walked away... but being the good Samaritan (and crazy person) that I am.. I said yes. I figure I go right in with him...and walk out soon after. So honestly..the place was empty. So I wasn't that uncomfortable. I decided to get a drink and walk out. And that's exactly what I did.
After that... I realized I need to make new friends...and FAST! I mean, I really couldn't find ONE person to hang with! WOW! Times like these make you wonder! So I decided I'm going to do my best to frequent some professional networking groups.
Stay tuned...
