Usher... Engaged!

Ok, I've been hearing the rumor and I've also seen the rock on his fiance's finger for about a month now, but I did not want to believe. But it's true.... Usher is engaged! :-(

Ladies (and Gentlemen), Usher
is officially off the market.

The platinum-plated R&B heart-throb (legally known as Usher
Raymond) confirmed last night that he will be getting married this year.
"I'm
engaged now," the 28-year-old multiple Grammy Award winner revealed, hinting
that he could be walking down the aisle with his longtime 38-year-old girlfriend
Tameka Foster -- before the end of this year.
MTV reports that "rumors of
Usher's pending nuptials have been floating around for a little over a month.
Photos of Usher and Foster - with a rock on her finger - have also made the
rounds, but on Wednesday night, he confirmed the information publicly for the
first time."

Day 1: Welcome One & All

Welcome friends... Well I know you're eager to find out what this blog is going to be all about. Well...to be quite honest, I really really don't know. I was once a XANGA fanatic, then I realized how "young" xanga really is. I did make a lot of good e-friends through xanga, but I guess that was not enough to keep me there. Well enough about my xanga days, let's talk a little about me. I am a young black professional in the DC metro area. I currently reside in Silver Spring, MD. I work at this non-profit arts association. I enjoy shopping (of course). I am addicted to designer jeans. (No I do not need help, I think I deserve them!) Lately, I've been feeling strongly about teaching. I'm going to look more into what it is that I need to do to get either a certification or just better preparation for teaching. I'm not sure what grade (or age group) I plan on teaching, however, I do know that I do want to teach.

Anywho, back to the purpose of my blog. I am a lady first...so I figured, why not just talk about the daily life of me. I'll also try to slip some celebrity gossip in as I get it. I'm not a gossip columnist so please do not expect EXCLUSIVES. If I hear something, I'll post it. If I happen to the first person you heard it from...so be it.
